Backyard Discovery Aurora Cedar Swingset Playcentre with 1.8m Slide (3-10 Years)
Backyard Discovery Aurora Cedar Swingset Playcentre
The Backyard Discovery Aurora is a cedar climbing frame with swings for families with smaller gardens who still want a proper playground at home. Children climb a rock wall ladder to a canopy-covered deck, whizz down a 1.8m wave slide and take turns on two classic belt swings. Underneath, a shaded area can become a sandpit or toy store, and a built-in chalkboard adds creative play between climbs.
Why Cedar Outlasts Budget Play Frames
Cheap softwood climbing frames can split, rot and splinter after a few damp British winters. The Aurora is built from naturally durable cedar, a timber known for lasting strength and resistance to decay, and it is 100% FSC certified. The upper deck mixes mesh panels and vertical wood pickets, so it stays breezy and lets parents see children clearly, while the canopy roof helps block the sun. Pre-cut parts and guided instructions through the interactive BILT app make the 312 x 272 cm frame easier to assemble at home.
Play Features Children Love
- 1.8m wave slide: gives a speedy, exciting ride down from the raised play deck to the lawn below.
- Two belt swings with rope chains: let siblings or friends swing side by side while others climb and slide.
- Rock wall ladder with 4 grips: builds climbing confidence and coordination on the way up to the platform.
- Shaded lower play space: can be filled with sand as a sandbox or used for toy storage beneath the deck.
