Two enclosed 189 litre drums sit side by side on a galvanised steel frame, so one batch matures while the other takes fresh waste. Black double-walled polyethylene absorbs heat, and the drums turn on their axis with far less effort than forking a heap.

Why Open Heaps and Single Bins Fall Behind

An open compost heap sprawls, attracts attention from pests and needs a fork and a strong back to turn. A single bin forces you to stop adding waste while a batch finishes. Lifetime solves both with two separate drums. Each one is made from high density, double-walled polyethylene with heavy duty UV-protected HDPE panels, and the non-cylindrical shape tumbles the contents more effectively than a round drum. An internal aeration bar and four corner vents push air through every load, while a powder coated, galvanised steel frame keeps 378 litres of capacity steady.

What Keeps Each Batch Moving

Two 189 Litre Drums: Run a continuous cycle, with one side cooking while the other fills with fresh scraps.

Red Processing Clip: Clips onto the handle so you always know which drum is maturing and which is open.

Aeration Bar and Vents: Internal bar and four corner vents supply the airflow needed to break material down.

Galvanised Steel Frame: Powder coated stand and galvanised base hold both drums firmly side by side outdoors.

Dual Compost Tumbler Build Sheet

Attribute

Specification

Brand

Lifetime

Model

60072

Capacity

2 x 189 litres (2 x 50 gallons)

Drums

High density double-walled polyethylene, UV-protected HDPE panels

Frame

Powder coated steel; galvanised steel aeration tube, frame and base

Lids

Extra large, removable

Extras

Red processing indicator clip

Colour

Black

Dimensions

H 110.4 x W 143.5 x D 79.3 cm

Weight

32.5 kg

For Growers Who Feed Their Own Soil

Tip the morning peelings into the open drum, give the cooking side a few turns on your way past, and the routine takes minutes.
